Jing by TechSmith

Jing by TechSmith

I use a basic computer service called Jing in order to caputre my screen, create basic videos of what I'm doing on my computer screen, as well as to easily share the images and videos I create. It's easy to access on your computer screen and you'll find yourself using it frequently to help instructor your students on what to do on their computer screen! Also, it's FREE!

makeagif.com

makeagif.com

To start with, this is not an education website and I would find a different website for students. MakeaGif.com is a website that allows users to create a graphic interchange format (gif). Typically these are used in order to relay short messages in multimodal fashion. I use them in my own messaging to relay facial expressions or phrases. As an example of using it in teaching, my professors gave #MAETy2 students the assignment to make a gif that was representative of our summer!

Prezi

Prezi

Prezi is a program that I enjoy using in order to create new presentations for class. With it's unique frames to input information and availability google images and graphics, it's a great alternative to PowerPoint. On the image is a link to my favorite Prezi, which was my application to the MAET program.
