Spartans Will.

For those of you who are alumni of Michigan State University, have you seen the Spartans Will. ads? Whenever I look at them, I always leave the page feeling just a little bit more proud of my alma mater and the amazing people working hard there.

For our first assignment in #maety2, we created our own Spartans Will ad and it was AWESOME! If you would like to make your own here are the steps you need to take:

1. Visit the Spartan’s branding website. (http://brand.msu.edu/design-visual/index.html) It’s open to the public and the creators go in detail as to why they have specific elements or colors.

2. Before you even take a picture of yourself, you need to decide what you WILL do. What makes you motivated? What do you hope to do with your degree or studies? Come up what you think first and then decide on an image location.

3. When choosing a location, try to determine a spot that can supplement your paragraph or description of your will. TIP: be purposeful about finding a spot. Try to find a place that will allow you to have writing and that will make you easy to spot. When I went to write on my image, it posed a challenge because my words got lost in the trees. I had to spend the most time editing my picture so that I could have the correct msu colors and still see my description.

4. Next, take an image of yourself in a power pose. Analyze their examples if you’re not sure what that would look like, and take note of how the people in them are all in power poses. In your image you need to be showing the strength of a Spartan!

5. Upload your image into PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Photoshop, and begin adding in those MSU brand elements!
